WORLD NEWS AND INFORMATION NETWORK, INC., (also known as WNIN) is a company founded by Fred Yager company that provides direct help with writing blogs, articles, or books, editing, media training, ghostwriting, developmental editing, writing press releases, as well as coaching on writing, publishing, including self-publishing, and promotion, and so much more. It's run now by two seasoned book and writing pros, Fred Yager and Jan Yager, a married couple.
FRED YAGER grew up in upstate New York and after four years in the U.S. Navy -- he was a correspondent -- he worked at the Associated Press (AP) for 13 years, where he was an award-winning writer. After two years as a fulltime screenwriter, Fred's next writing, editing, and communications jobs included CBS Morning News, FOX News, 14 years at Merrill Lynch, as well as jobs at UBS, AARP, and, most recently, for nine years, at Morgan Stanley. His ten published books include several novels (THE ASIAN QUEEN, the forthcoming BOTANICA, co-authored with Jeff Yager, the thrillers UNTIMELY DEATH and JUST YOUR EVERYDAY PEOPLE, co-authored with Jan Yager,) and three nonfiction books including CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN THE PUBLISHING INDUSTRY.
Fred's skills, in addition to editing, writing, interviewing, and media training, include ghostwriting and developmental editing.
JAN YAGER has published numerous books in a range of genres including nonfiction self-help (HOW TO FINISH EVERYTHING YOU START, WHEN FRIENDSHIP HURTS, and WORK LESS, DO MORE) as well as novels and plays. Her publishing background dates back to her early twenties when she worked at Macmillan Publishing Company for three years, in the school division, followed by a year at Grove Press, Inc. where she learned all aspects of trade book publishing taught to her by her mentor and boss, the legendary publisher, Barney Rosset. Jan's a book coach and author of HOW TO SELF-PUBLISH YOUR BOOK and HOW TO PROMOTE YOUR BOOK, both titles published by Square One Publishing. She also offers direct help related to writing, ghostwriting, editing, and publishing including how to write a nonfiction book proposal for submitting to commercial publishers.
JEFF YAGER is the author of several novels (ATOM & EVE; I LIKE GOD, co-authored with Skye Bynes; SEVEN DAYS IN VIRTUAL REALITY; BOTANICA, co-authored with Fred Yager; STUNT DOUBLE (forthcoming) and A GHOSTLY TWIST (YA), forthcoming; two children's books, CHUCK & ALFONZO and THE QUESTION IS WHY?, both illustrated by Nancy Batra; and the fortcoming nonfiction title, THE TO DO BOOK, a collection of 365 sayings or aphorisms for a more productive and rewarding career or life, with an Introduction and Activities by Jan Yager. Jeff's publishing projects have included fact checking and updating of previously published business and sports books, for several clients, as well as indepth evaluations of working or final drafts of several novels.
